Sharing the Wonders of the World

As winter approaches, my mind sneaks back to happy times in the sunshine. Blue skies and smiling faces, and a glimpse at how simple life can be.

Lola is growing up. As I look at photos from five years ago I feel the anxiety growl in my stomach, it’s a nervous excitement at the thought of our month long adventure in France, mixed with a yearning to do it all again.

The desire to explore with her, to learn about the wonders of our world and to share it with others never goes away, yet I hold back from doing so. I kick myself for not using my creative and technical skills to bring you the world through our eyes – to create Montessori story books that inspire a love of learning.

Now, the time has come. I see the years flying past and I feel I’m missing the opportunity to learn with Lola. I am an over-thinker, and every moment spent planning is time that would be better spent creating memories together.

My vision has always been to create a 360 degree platform for others to share their own experiences. Travel to far-flung places is not always possible, but with the power of the internet we can share. I feel that perhaps a digital library of cheap Montessori materials is more beneficial than my original plan to write books and ask children to share their work.

As parents and teachers we can never have enough support in our bid to provide the best for our youth, so perhaps the sharing needs to be done between us.

Today is the start of something new. This website needs a change, and I need to continue to embrace the privilege of teaching my child. I need to give her every ounce of love I can afford whilst guiding her journey to adulthood. Homeschooling is in fact a gift of time shared, and rather than a burden, it’s an honour.

I hope that by sharing our experiences I can inspire others to do the same. Our children are precious, and they hold the precarious future of our planet in their hands. Let’s join together in giving them the tools they need to secure a wonderful future.

To deliver a full Montessori homeschooling curriculum in my home is beyond my personal resources. Not only am I restricted by space, but also financially. My approach is a nod to Montessori, but it is a realistic one – otherwise it’s just too stressful.

The resources I share are an appreciation of the fact that you too may be in this situation. They are also here to help people convey the ideas of Maria Montessori others. A hurdle faced frequently is to explain the preconceived notion of the Montessori Method, when actually it is an approach to whole of life.

It’s a great big world out there, and our job is essentially to prepare the next generation the best we can. That’s what I am doing, and I hope you’ll join me as I do so.

I plan to offer Montessori Art projects which will work in tandem with the stories of the Great Lessons. This is going to take time, but I’m prepared to do the work if it helps others and provides my daughter with a rich education.

If you’d like to know more, I’d love you to initially sign up for my information pack. which will explain more about my plans to share the wonders of our world.

This is all explained in my information pack which you can receive here.
